MAPUSA: Sporting Clube de Goa booked their semi-final berth with a comfortable 5-1 win over Velsao Sports and Cultural Club in the second quarter-final match of the 15th Goa Police Cup, played under floodlights at Duler Stadium, here on Monday.

In the 65th minute, Sporting doubled their lead when Glan collected a clearance and shot past
Velsao custodian Presley Mascarenhas from the top of the box to make it 2-0 for the Flaming Oranje.
Substitute Marcus Mascarenhas made it 3-0 in the 73rd minute when he easily cut past a defender in the
box and finished the ball in the back of the nylons from 6-yards after receiving a perfect pass from
George D’Souza. Five minutes later, substitute Sunny Fernandes scored the fourth goal for the Flaming
Oranje. Glan completed his hat-trick in the 88th minute when his shot from just inside the box finished in the net to make it 5-0 for the Flaming Oranje.
Velsao pulled a goal back in the added time through Oilex who made an easy tap-in to Siddesh Kesarkar cut-back pass.
