Sporting ready for Vasco

Sporting Clube de Goa will lock horns with Vasco Sports Club in the Kingfisher Pro League at Tilak Maidan ground, Vasco on Thursday at 4 p.m.
Sporting defeated league leaders Salgaocar Sports Club in their last match but Sporting coach Alex Alvares is not getting too carried away. “The boys are confident after the last match but I prefer to let the game do the talking,” remarked Alex.
Vasco coach Gavin Araujo is also looking forward to the game after Vasco have won their last two matches against Goa Velha and Sesa Football Academy. “All my players are hungry to play in the first eleven, and I have told them that they will get their opportunity,” stated Gavin.
Sporting is missing defender Mathew Gonsalves through suspension. Rowen Pereira will have a late fitness test as he is being troubled with a thigh injury. Australian midfielder Joshua Maguire may start after injuring his lower back recently.
Vasco striker Koko Sakibo has been hospitalized for the past three days with flu, but could sit on the bench. Young Savio Fernandes is set to replace him. Savio was part of the successful Goa U-21 team that won the Nationals in 2008, which also included teammate Joel Sequeira.
The match is set to be an exciting game as both the coaches enjoy attacking football, where the game is the winner.
