PANJIM: The Sports Journalists Association of Goa will organise its annual inter-media football tournament in the first or second week of May for media persons from print, electronic, All India Radio, Doordarshan and Information Dept.

Football selection trials
PANJIM: The selection trials for Coca Cola Cup National Football Championship 2013 will be held on April 28 and 29 at Duler and Curtorim grounds. Boys born in India on or after January 1, residents of Goa, may report with kit and birth certificate as at 8 a.m. to Joaquim Crasto at Curtorim ground (South Goa) and at 8 a.m. to Deggie Cradozo at Duler ground (North Goa).
Cricket selection trials
PANJIM: Following players who have taken part in Goa Cricket Association tournaments have been selected for selection trials on May 1 at GCA ground, Porvorim at 9 a.m. The cut off date for U-16 is on or after 1998 and for U-14 on or after 2000. Postpone chess elections: TTCA
PANJIM: The members of Tiswadi Taluka Chess Association (TTCA) have written a letter to CM Manohar Parrikar, Sports Minister Ramesh Tawadkar, SAG Executive Director Sandip Jacques seeking postponement of elections of Goa State Chess Association due to alleged violations in the whole electoral process not only at the association level but also at all Taluka levels.
One of the main reasons why the postponement is being sought is because the elections are being held prematurely as taluka associations have been formed barely four months ago whereas as per constitution, elected members must be of minimum six months standing.
