U-18 football selection trials
PANJIM: Chennai United FC, a football team based in Chennai will launch an under-18 team comprising players from all over India. The club will provide a strong competitive programme and academic structure to ensure optimal player development on and off the pitch. Those born on or after 1 January 1995 (upto 1997 will be considered). Selection trials will be held on June 10 and 11 at Duler Stadium, Mapusa from 2 to 4 p.m. Those interested may report at 1.30 p.m. Parents may discuss the prospects of their wards with Chennai United FC coaching staff and management. Football tourney at Mala
PANJIM: The 3rd six-a-side invitational football tournament organized by Mala Power will be held on June 23 and 30 at PDA ground, Mala, here. Hiking expedition to Himalaya
PANJIM: The Goa Hiking Association (GHA) will select a team for National Himalayan trekking expedition from June 18 to 30 at Beas Kund, Manali, Himachal Pradesh. The starting point will be Manali and then Solang, Beas Kund, a route stretching upto 12,000 feet high. Super soccer at Benaulim
MARGAO: Navelim Villagers Union will face Verna Sports Club in the inaugural match of 24th All-Goa Super Soccer inter-village football tournament organized by United Boys Dando-Colva on June 4 at St John Baptist ground, Benaulim at 4.30 p.m.
Sporting Club of Davorlim, Sao Jose de Areal Sports Club, Parish Youth, Nuvem, CRC,Chinchinim, Maina Sports Club, Carmona Sports Club, United Club of Benaulim, Betalbatim Sporting Club, Varca Sports Club and hosts United Boys, Dando-Colva will vie for top honours .The winners will be richer by Rs 30,000 while the runners-up will get Rs 20,000, The finals will be held on June 16.
