PANJIM: St Anthony SC, Colva entered the semi-finals of the 10th London Trophy defeating PY Nuvem 3-2 vie tie-breaker at Goa Velha ground, on Friday.
At half time, the teams failed to open an account. Stephen Colaco set up Albino Perreira in the St Anthony SC box but his centre was wayward.
Jerose Oliveira after receiving a pass from Jose Colaco went a few steps ahead and shot powerfully which just missed the St Anthony SC upright.
Joseph Pereira of St Anthony SC ran on the left flank and centered the ball for Romario Fernandes, who however was slow and was disposed by Hayson Velho.
Stephen after collecting a pass from Inacio Colaco shot powerfully but St Anthony SC goalkeeper Danzil Dias managed to fist the ball away.
After the break, St Anthony SC came out aggressively, Joao Fernandes ran in the PY Nuvem box and centered the ball but Romario Fernandes just failed to head. Standly Colaco fed the ball to Jerose Oliveira but his powerful header was punched away by St Anthony SC goalkeeper Danzil. Jose had his dipping lob punched out by Danzil. Nelson Gomes sent Baptist Fernandes running in the Nuvem box but he shot out.
At the end of regulation time, the score was nil. In the resultant tie-breaker, St Anthony SC netted through Nelson, Maxon and Ryan while for PY Nuvem only Jerose and Jos Vaz scored.
