PANJIM: Hosts St Caetan edged past Mother Teresa 2-1 in the final of 18th all-Goa football tournament, at Alua ground, Merces, recently.
Eusebio and Shashank were the goal scorers for St Caetan while Damu reduced the margin for Mother Teresa.
St Caetan were richer by Rs 10,000 while Mother Teresa had to be content with Rs 7,000. Individual prizes were awarded to First scorer Eusebio, Best defender Naveen, Best half Sangam and Player of the tournament Rohan.
Chief guest Victoria Fernandes, ex-MLA of Santa Cruz constituency gave away the prizes in the presence of guest of honour Rudolf Fernandes, social worker; Ravishekar Nipanikar, mamlatdar South; Asis Araujo, president of Merces Club; Adv. Prashant Venganlekar; Babli Mandrekar, former GFA Executive Committee Member; Laxman Naik and others.
