Fr Nobert D’Mello, president of St Sebastian Church Youth Association gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up in the presence of chief guest former minister and ex-Poinguinim MLA Isidore Fernandes and Constancio Fernandes. Individual prizes were also awarded.
In all 16 teams participated.
Speaking on the occasion, Isidore advocated promotion of women’s football and offered to sponsor a football tournament for women in Canacona.
