PANJIM: The St Cruz summer football coaching camp conducted by St Cruz parish in collaboration with GFDC concluded on Saturday in the presence of chief guest, Dr Rufino Monteiro, chairman, GFDC.

Fr Alexandre Pereira, in his welcome thanked Dr Monteiro and GFDC for its assistance in the camp which covered over 50 boys and girls from the village, daily at 7 a.m.
Dr Monteiro congratulated the participants for their regular participation and taking up football training during their vacations. He urged parents to encourage their children kids to take up football as it has good potential as a career.
Later, three promising boys and one girl were given prizes for being the most promising talent and every trainee was presented with a certificate.
Tony Fernandes, sarpanch; coaches, Savio Pereira, Melinda Pereira and Domnic were those among present.
Fr Noel Da Costa compeered while Fr Louis Gomes proposed the vote of thanks.
