FATORDA: St. Jude HS defeated Our Lady of Carmel HS 4-1 to enter the final in the girl’s category of the DSYA U-13 Futsal tournament, at Fatorda, on Tuesday,
Venoshka and Vienna scored a brace each for the winners while Vellene Costa scored the lone goal for Our Lady of Carmel HS.
In other semi-final match, Fatima Convent blanked Manovikas EMS 5-0. Paloma Pires scored a hat-trick while Swellen and Wendy also got their names on the scoresheet.
Meanwhile in the first boy’s semi-final, Our Lady of Carmel got better of Rosary HS 3-0.
Asher Fernandes scored a brace while Reuben Fernandes scored the other goal for the winners.
The second semi-final saw Infant Jesus edge past Marina English HS 3-2.
Sahil Mohammad netted two goals while Roshville Barbosa scored a goal for Infant Jesus HS. Salvador Gama scored a goal for Marina English while the other goal was an own goal blunder.
The finals of U-13 boys and girls will be played on February 18. The DSYA U-19 boys category will begin from February 13.
