PANJIM: Top seed Michael Mare, alongside Pratik Naik Borkar, Samarth Sakhalkar, and Vishwa Parab, entered the U-13 boys singles semi-finals, while in the girls singles, it will be Avni Khyalia, Pragya Audi, Komal Kothari, and Amaira Dhumatker who battle it out for a spot in the final at the State Badminton Ranking Tournament 2025, underway at the Indoor Stadium, Campal, here, on Saturday.
In the quarter-finals, Michael defeated Varun Sahakari 21-7, 21-5; Pratik beat Krithik Sripathi 21-15, 21-14; Samarth beat Vedh Lotliker 21-13, 18-21, 21-12. Vishwa downed Daksh Kamat 21-6, 21-11.
In the girls quarter-finals, Avni defeated Ashbah Tahasildar 21-18, 21-3, while third seed Pragya Audi breezed past Aditi Dhargalkar 21-3, 21-6. Komal Kothari registered a convincing 21-10, 21-11 win over fourth seed Kanika Pai Vernekar, and Amaira Dhumatker outclassed Nehakumari Ram 21-5, 21-9.
