MARGAO: Tejas Shevde, Mano Chhabra, Prince Agnelo, Rajaram Kundaikar reached the semi-finals of men’s singles in BPS All-Goa Ranking Tennis Tournament here, on Thursday.
Shevde defeated Anurag Agarwal 6-2, Chhabra beat Akhil Shirwaikar 6-3, Agnelo defeated Chandrakant Fulse 6-2 and Kundaikar vanquished Pankaj Naik 6-0.
Talented Darsh Pai entered the semi-finals in two age groups. He defeated Taroun Salgaonkar 6-1 in the Under-14 and Devaansh Naik 6-0 in the Under-18.
In other quarter-finals in boys Under-14, Shashwat Mathiyan beat Samik Satardekar 6-2 and Vivaan Agarwal defeated Sairaj Narvenkar 6-0.
Punit Fadte earned a place in the semi-finals boys Under-18, trouncing Kabir Gadre 6-0 and Shay Walke beat Gauraang Phutankar 6-1.
In girls’ Under-18 quarter-final, Vidhi Naik did not break a sweat in her victory against Kimberly D’Sa winning 6-0. Tithee Bhoomkar defeated Ahana Kumar 6-1. Gargi Oak also reached the semi-finals of girls’ Under-14 knocking out Kimberly D’Sa’s 6-1.
