RAIA: Varca moved into the quarter-final defeating Mandopa SC 4-3 via the tie-breaker in Cavelossim Panchayat Trophy inter-village football at Fr Druston and Wellington ground, Cavelossim, on Thursday.

In the 30th minute, Nash Dias of Varca let go a grounder which was punched over by Mandopa goalkeeper Jeet Gupta.
In the second half, Mandopa Ronaldo Pereira’s curling shot from out of the box hit the crossbar and bounced back into play.
In the tie-breaker, Constancio,Alan, Landon,Yunal, scored for Varca. Ronaldo, Wellington, Nevin netted for Mandopa.
Eriston’s and Joyston’s shots were saved by Varca goalkeeper Mahammad Shaikh, who was awarded the man-of-the match award by chief guest Viano Rodrigues.
