CANSAULIM: United Club of Utorda registered a formidable 2-0 win against Cortalim Gymkhana in the on-going GFA U-14 League at Cansaulim ground, here, on Friday.
In the very 8th minute Richard Fernandes opened the score for Utorda off an assist by Anish Gadar to get an early advantage after which the United Club of Utorda boys played a controlled game while keeping most of the possession and giving very little room to the Cortalim forwards to operate.
A little before the half an hour mark Anish doubled the lead off an assist by Bhuvan Parwar to give his team a 2-0 cushion.
With a 2-0 lead early in the game Utorda colts played a more defensive games hence and guarded their citadel well.
The second half saw a more determined Cortalim side trying to get back in the game however their strikers faltered at the goal.
