VALPOI: Valpoi CJ Brothers Sports Club won the 7th All-Goa seven-a-side football tournament organized by Sanquelim Footballers at Sanquelim municipal ground, Sunday. They defeated Rebelo Pandal, Maina Curtorim 4-2.
Abdul Khan scored the first goal for CJ Bros in the 6th minute. Later, Mansoor Khan scored a brace. After the break, Abdul made it 4-0 with a placement. Rebelo Pandal hit back scoring two quick goals through Alvito and Pregan.
Earlier, in the semis, CJ Bros beat Virdi Football Club 4-1, and Rebelo Pandal defeated Gopalkrishna of Marcela 4-0.
CJ Brothers received Rs 22,222 and the trophy. Rebelo Pandal had to be content with Rs 11,111 and a trophy. Mansoor Khan was awarded the man-of-the-tournament prize for his outstanding performance . Saif Ali Akhtar of ESCCN Nanus was given the trophy for upcoming player.
