PANJIM: Though he admitted that foreigners in the state were under low level surveillance, CM Manohar Parrikar denied the existence of any foreign mafia in the State.
“Russian, German or Israeli mafia (do) not exist in the State of Goa,” Parrikar said, replying to a question from Curtorim Congress MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco who wanted to know what steps were being taken by the government to put a stop to the infiltration of mafia.
“Watch is being maintained on the activities of foreigners staying in Goa. If any foreigner is found involved in any crime, legal action as per law is taken,” the chief minister replied.
