VALPOI: Valpoi CJ Brothers Sports Club got the better of RCV Sports Club, Valpoi 3-2 via the tie-breaker to clinch the top spot of 7-a-side football tournament organized by Remirez Sports Club, Valpoi at Forest Training School ground, Valpoi, Sunday. There was no score at full time.
In the tie-breaker, Mansoor Khan, Abdul Khan and Shafin Khan netted for CJ Brothers while only Tejas Dhuri and Ashish Gawas converted for RCV.
CJ Brothers received a cash prize of Rs 10,000 and a trophy while RCV took home Rs 7,000. Praveen Faterpekar of CJ Brothers was adjudged best striker of the tournament while Ali Shah of RCV received the best goalkeeper of the tournament award.
In semi-finals, CJ Brothers overcame Valpoi United via the tie-breaker while RCV thumped Ponda Boys 3-0.
