MAPUSA (HSR) –Vasco Sports Club and Sesa Football Academy drew 1-1 in their final Kingfisher Pro League encounter at Duler Stadium, here on Friday. Sesa led 1-0 at the interval.
After 14 matches Vasco finished in fifth position with 18 points while Sesa had to settle for sixth place as they finished with 17 points.
After 15 minutes, Sesa’s Sidroy Afonso played a short corner for teammate Nicolau Colaco and his cross from the right was met by Augustino Fernandes who headed Sesa in front.
On the stroke of half time, Koko laid the ball back for Joy Ferrao on the edge of the box and he spectacularly volleyed into the top corner of the net for the equaliser. The ball hit the crossbar on its way in.
