DABOLIM: Vidya Mandir High School, Chicalim defeated Mother of Mercy High School, Vaddem by 10 runs to win the under-14 boys cricket tournament, organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs.
Vidya Mandir put up a target of 110/5 runs in 20 overs while Mother of Mercy High School in their reply scored 100 runs in the allotted 20 overs.
In their earlier matches, Vidya Mandir defeated Deep Vihar High School, Headland-Sada, Vasco; Government High School, Zuari Nagar and Murgao High School, Sada. Shadab Khan and Gauresh Kambli of Vidya Mandir excelled in the finals.
