RAIA: Zoriwaddo edged past Tolleaband A 2-1 to enter into the final of Sporting Club Davorlim’s 1st inter-ward football tournament organised by Sporting Club Davorlim at panchayat ground, Davorlim, on Sunday.
The match started on a fast pace and Tolleaband scored the first goal through Melchior Miranda in the 10th minute. Soon, Patson Gomes’ shoot from the box was punched away for a corner by Tolleaband goalkeeper. At the breather, Zoriwaddo were leading 1-0.
In the second half, Zoriwaddo took control of the game and found the equaliser through Agnelo Gomes’ powerfull header that crushed into the net. The winning goal was scored by Ashotosh from the top of the box to seal the victory
In the other semi-final, Bobtevado scored a solitary goal win over Baga to book the final berth. William Niasso scored the all-important goal.
Zoriwaddo will now face Bobtevado in the final on November 2.
