United Club of Telaulim took the lead through Aldrich Coelho’s placement after being set up by Savio Fernandes in the 23rd minute.
However, Savio missed two sitters in the 34th and 36th minutes as his grounders hit the goalpost of Goa Velha SC and went wide after assists from Aldrich Coelho.
Goa Velha SC equalized through Royston Pereira in the 37th minute with a deft placement.
Change of ends saw both teams trying to score the match-winner but it was United Club of Telaulim as they scored through Savio’s curling effort in the 77th minute.
At Raia Panchayat ground, Penha de Franca SC defeated Panchwadi United SC 1-0 with the all important goal scored by Selwin D’Costa through the spot-kick in the 81st minute.
