PANJIM: PS Sreedharan Pillai will be sworn in as the Governor of Goa on Thursday at Raj Bhavan, Dona Paula.

Pillai, a former Governor of Mizoram, landed in Goa on Wednesday afternoon. He was accorded a warm welcome by Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant, Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat and others.
Ahead of the swearing in of Pillai as the new Governor, IAS officer Arun Kumar Mishra has been appointed as his secretary.
In an order issued, Personnel Secretary Vishal Kundaikar said that the Governor has appointed Mishra as his secretary with immediate effect.
As such Mihir Vardhan, who was appointed on co-terminus basis as secretary in January, stands relieved.
