MARGAO: Environment Minister Alexio Sequeira has declared that Chief Minister Pramd Sawant has asked him to sort out the grievances of the protesting people in Velsao regarding the double tracking. He said that certain processes were not followed: Mutation has been done few days back and updation of the survey plan will be done. Demarcation will be completed within 30 days he said.
Speaking to Media, Aleixo Sequeira said that he met the officer and he did not see that there is any major issue. Everything will be resolved within 30 days, he claimed.

Seqeuira assured that demarcation of land will be done in one month’s time. It maybe complete by 20th or 21st December 2024. Then it will be clear which is SWR land acquired by the government and remaining will be private land. Thereafter we can sit with the aggrieved parties and sort out the issues.
Meanwhile, activists have said that the RVNL has taken over Mollo and Pale villages and made life hell for the villagers. They decried the movement of truck and drilling work through the night disturbing the peace of the citizens. They have created hell for us, Orville Dourado told media.
They have even filed the spring by putting pipes and building a road over it. The workers are not registered and they are moving in the village. This poses a danger to our women and children, Dourado warned.
