MARGAO: Ezlina Fernandes was elected unopposed as the sarpanch of Cana Benaulim panchayat at the elections held on August 14 where all the panchayat members were present.
Ezlina’s name was proposed by Xavier Pereira and seconded by Felicia Noronha. The elections were mandated as the previous sarpanch Diella Fernandes resigned adhering to an agreement between the members to share the office of the sarpanch.
