MAPUSA: Two persons, including a government servant, were arrested by the Colvale police on Monday and booked for theft and kidnapping.
Rama Gupta, a native of Mumbai informed the police that while he was doing a survey for NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India) on Sunday, he was allegedly kidnapped on a scooter by two people, later put in a car near the Colvale jail and assaulted

The duo then threatened him and robbed two Lenovo tabs worth Rupees 80,000 and also made him transfer Rs 3,500. They then dumped him at Karaswada and fled.
A police team led by PI Somnath Mahajik solved the case on Monday and arrested the partners in crime – Milind Naik, 49, Pernem and Prakash Shetkar, 39, resident of Irrigation Quarters, Colvale. Police also recovered the stolen tabs from the accused persons. One of the accused Prakash Shetkar is a government servant and presently working in ITI, Peddem, Mapusa as a peon.
