PONDA: The Ponda police arrested Kunal Sangavkar, 25, and his father Kishan Sangavkar, 53, both residents of Tisk Usgao, for brutally attacking car mechanic and painter Ashokkumar Babaji Sethi in Kelini-Usgaon. The father-son duo allegedly attacked the victim with iron rods, causing grievous injuries that left him in a coma.

The altercation stemmed from a dispute over a payment of Rs 500. Ashokkumar had completed a painting job for Kishan’s tempo, with the agreed payment set at Rs 5,000. However, after receiving Rs 4,500, Ashokkumar demanded the remaining Rs 500, leading to an argument. Kishan, unwilling to pay, then called his son Kunal to the garage. A further dispute led to Kunal allegedly attacking Ashokkumar with an iron rod, striking him on the head.
