The Government High school and Primary School Thane Sattari, neither has a compound hall, playing ground, nor a proper stage to conduct school functions.
This 50-year-old Government High school falls in the Dongurli Thane Panchayat area, comprising nine villages from where the children attend the school.
Both primary and high school students are lagging behind in sports activities because school does not have playing ground, says villagers. “In absence of a compound all stray cattle enter the school corridor during night and make it dirty,” says villager Manohar Gaonkar.
We are having only one school bus, but given the number of students we need more,” says Arjun Kerkar, PTA president.
