Mixed Boys, Aivao, Kevnem Boys and Cacra Boys emerged victorious in the 5-a-side U-14, U-16 and U-18 Don Bosco soccer festival respectively organised by Don Bosco, Odxel at Odxel (Taleigao) on Sunday.
In the U-14 finals, Mixed Boys, Aivao got the better of 5TTR, Odxel 1-0. Sahil Diukar netted the match-winner.
Cacra Boys and Odxel Boys fell out in the semi-finals.
In the U-16 semi-finals, Super Strikers, Aivao defeated Dobkeak Bhair while Kevnem Boys got the better of Remsy’s Gym.
In the finals, Kevnem Boys beat Super Strikers, Aivao 2-1 via the tie-breaker. There was no score at full time.
In the tie-breaker, Saif Ali and Devendra Gaus shot on target for Kevnem Boys and Sachin Lokhande scored for Super Strikers.
In the U-18 semi-finals, Cacra Boys and Kevnem Boys hammered South Hall, Odxel and Bambolim Boys respectively.
In the finals, Cacra Boys walked past Kevnem Boys 2-1 via the tie-breaker. There was no score at full time.
Neeraj D’Mello and Nitesh Parvatkar were successful for Cacra Boys while Yogesh Murgaokar netted for Kevnem Boys.
