PANJIM: Goa Legislative Assembly Speaker Rajesh Patnekar participated in a national meeting that was held virtually and was convened by Speaker of Lok Sabha Om Birla.

The meeting discussed prevailing COVID-19 situation and the role, responsibility of public representatives. Presiding officers of other States’ Legislatures and some other leaders were present for the meeting.
At the meeting, Patnekar briefed the attendees about the current situation in Goa and the various SOPs put in place by the State government.
He also informed them about the steps taken by the government to control the spread of Coronavirus, measures taken for the treatment of patients and for the availability of oxygen beds, arrangements of oxygen and Remdesivir at all the health centres where the same are required.
