MARGAO: Jai Damodar Association on Friday said that people of Goa would loose faith in the police machinery if the men in uniform fail to detect the Vasco student rape case.
At a meting held at the Lohia Maidan, Association president Mahesh Nayak lamented that the investigation process is very slow and pointed out that the police force has turned inefficient. “This is the reason why culprits cannot be convicted, resulting in the rise in robberies, rapes and murders in the state,” he said.
Curtorim Shiv Sena president Felix Dias demanded to know how the authorities have permitted migrants to change the names of places at their free will. He pointed out that migrants had named a locality in Curtorim as Kargil and demanded action by the authorities.
Menino Fernandes, who also spoke highlighted misuse of an open space of a housing colony.
