AMBORA-CAMORLIM: Fatorda Veterans got the better of Verna Veterans 4-3 via the tie-breaker and won the Excel Rovers Trophy organised by Excel Rovers Loutolim at Village Panchayat ground, Camolim, on Sunday.
There was no score at the end of the regulation time.
In the tie-breaker, Fatorda Veterans netted through Vincent Barbosa, Lavino Pereira, Johny Pinto and Shailesh Mesquin while for Verna Veterans, Marcus Carvalho, Robert Fernandes and Vincent Colaco were on target.
Curtorim MLA Alexio Reginald Lourenco was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up in the presence of Domnic Gauncar, Manuel promoter of football in Ambora/ Loutolim.
