Margao: “Dr Francisco Luis Gomes was an eminent Goan who was a strong nationalist. It is unfortunate that Chief Minister Pramod Sawant did not remember him on his 151st death anniversary and even forgot to pay tributes” said GPCC President Girish Chodankar.
He was speaking at a function organised at the South Goa District Congress Office.

“The government should take steps to ensure that the legacy of this eminent physician and economist is documented and carried forward, “he added.
“I once again appeal to the Government to document all the writing works of Dr Francisco Luis Gomes. He was the first nationalist Goan who was also a strong patriot. The government must take steps to recognize his contribution,” said Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat.
