First ever fish fest from December 13

PANJIM: In an attempt to create awareness on fishing technologies, and good fishing techniques and practices among the fishing communities, the State government is holding the first ever three-day Fish Festival starting December 13.

PANJIM: In an attempt to create awareness on fishing technologies, and good fishing techniques and practices among the fishing communities, the State government is holding the first ever three-day Fish Festival starting December 13. 
The festival, organized by the Fisheries Department in collaboration with the National Fishing Development Corporation at Hyderabad will be held at Fatorda.
“Experts have been invited to hold workshops for fishermen who will be introduced to various modern techniques of fishing, nets for trapping fish among other related factors. It is open for fisheries students as well,” said an official. There would also be stalls displaying different types of fish at the festival.  
The estimated cost of the entire festival is said to be around Rs 50 lakh.
