PANJIM: In a daring robbery, 13 masked men stormed into a local soda company at Old Goa and decamped with one LCD TV worth Rs 40,000.
In a complaint filed with the Old Goa police station, owner of Real Soda, Rajesh Shirodkar, stated that the armed men entered the office initially by threatening to shoot the security guard and later the workers who were sleeping there. The incident occurred at about 1.40 am on Sunday.
The unidentified burglars locked the nine workers in one of the rooms and fled with the LCD TV.
Old Goa police have said they have managed to get the CCTV footage that grabbed part of the robbery plan. However, there has been no breakthrough.
Police are questioning the employees to get a clue while also going through the CCTV grab repeatedly. A list of suspected robbers as well as troublemakers and history sheeters is being verified to question the suspects.
