MARGAO: In a broad daylight theft, unidentified miscreants looted Rs 3.5 lakh cash from the house of one Dilip Amonkar, a paper seller at Benaulim on Tuesday. A case has been reported at the Colva police station.

As informed by the police unknown miscreants stole cash from the house belonging to Dilip on Monday morning as he had gone to Maria Hall to bring the leftover copies of newspapers and returned back home within a span of 30 minutes.
However, after reaching home he noticed Rs 3.5 lakh cash missing from the house. The thieves’ broke open the main door and ran away with the cash kept in the cupboard.
Police are further investigating the case.
