Trump Rules Out Trade Talks with India Until Tariff Dispute is Settled

US President Donald Trump has made it clear that trade negotiations with India will remain on hold until a dispute over tariffs is resolved. His remarks came after his administration’s recent move to double tariffs on Indian imports.

Responding to a question from ANI at the Oval Office on whether talks could resume despite the new 50% tariff, Trump firmly replied, “No, not until we get it resolved.”

On Wednesday, the White House issued an Executive Order imposing an additional 25 percentage points on existing tariffs for Indian goods, effectively raising the total levy to 50%.
