6 marks for Maths paper

PANJIM, APRIL 20 The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Education on Tuesday said there was no ambiguity in the allotment of the six marks for flawed questions of Mathematics paper of Std X.

The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Education on Tuesday said there was no ambiguity in the allotment of the six marks for flawed questions of Mathematics paper of Std X.
Chairman of Goa Board Merwyn D’Souza said the three chief moderators at the three correction centres have been issued written communication directing them to direct the correction teachers to assess the 100 marks Mathematics paper for 94 marks leaving aside the six marks which will be allotted by the Board for all the students who have appeared for the paper.
Parents had raised a cry that there was a printing mistake in one of the questions (6d) resulting in many students trying to figure out what it actually meant. They had complained question 7b wasn’t part of the syllabus and many students had wasted their time solving it.
A total of 17,843 students appeared for the SSC exam in 23 centres across the State from March 30 to April 10 results of which will be declared likely by May end as usual.
