CANACONA: The body of a fisherman, who was reported to have gone missing from a trawler into the deep sea off Betul coast, was washed ashore at Palolem on Thursday.
Canacona police said the body of 23-year-old Odisha native, one Deepak Bhaisal, was found along the northern side of Palolem beach on Thursday.
A missing complaint was filed by the trawler owner at the Vasco Police Station. It is believed that he may have accidentally fallen into the sea. Canacona Police after conducting panchanama sent the body to TB Hospital Morgue, Margao.
Canacona police said that autopsy will be conducted on Friday and the body will be handed over to the family for performing final rites.
