VASCO: Tension prevailed at Mangoor in Vasco after unidentified miscreant(s) damaged six vehicles, including five cars and one goods vehicle that were parked near a Gurdwara at Mangor-Hill Vasco early on Friday when the residents were asleep. The miscreants smashed window panes and damaged the vehicles.
As per the complaint, the miscreant(s) hurled stones and created ruckus at midnight and used laterite stones to smash window panes of cars that were parked near the Gurdwara. Police said the miscreants damaged the wind shield, rear glass and even the window panes of the vehicles. The six damaged vehicles include three Maruti WagonR cars, one Maruti van, one Tata Ace pick-up and others.
Following complaints from car owners, the Vasco police have registered a case against the unknown miscreants. Meanwhile, the owners of the damaged cars, including two taxi drivers, have demanded the police to initiate prompt action.
