Guardian Angel Higher Secondary School, Curchorem booked their place in State finals defeating Government High School, Sadar (Ponda) via the tie-breaker 5-4 in Subroto Mukherjee inter-school football tournament at Rosary ground, Navelim. There was nos core at half time.
Guardian Angel converted the corner kick through Alviton soon after the interval. At the fag end of the match the Government HS equalised.
Goalkeeper Naveel of Guardian Angel did a commendable job in the tie-breaker saving two shots.
Coach and PE teacher Anthony D’Souza praised the boys for their excellent performance under the captainship of Vishal.
Guardian Angel will play the winners of North Goa District on October 6 at Tilak Maidan, Vasco.
