MARGAO: The Judicial Magistrate First Class has remanded the duo, arrested by Margao Town Police on Friday evening for running a sex racket, in judicial custody for 15 days and they will be released on bail only if they prove that they own property in Goa.
Margao Town Police last night arrested 64-year-old Justina D’Souza, owner of Goa Lords Bar & Restaurant for running sex trade in the premises and while rescuing the victim girl, also arrested 22-year-old Mohammad Rupin Ali, a native of Assam who was with the girl at the time of the raid.
Police Inspector Kapil Nayak said they were informed about a week back that Justina had converted her place into a brothel and hence were keeping it under watch and on Friday evening they raided the place and found the girl and the Assamese in a compromising position.
