According to Mapusa police, two youth collecting shellfish noticed the gunny bag at about 9.30 am. Suspecting something fishy, they alerted the Aldona Police Outpost and a police team arrived at the site and later informed the Mapusa Police. Mapusa PI Tushar Vernekar and his team retrieved the bag from the river and on opening it, found the partially decompose body of a man between 35-40 years wrapped in a bed sheet and tarpaulin. The deceased was found in a grey and black pant along with a red shirt with black stripes. The mouth was covered with plastic and the neck was found strangulated with a nylon rope. The body has been referred to the GMC for an autopsy.

MAPUSA: A man in his mid-thirties was found strangled to death on Saturday, when a large gunny bag containing the partially decomposed body was found floating in the Moira river.
