Even after closing a significant chapter in his career, Virat went to Maharaj Ji to receive his blessings.
A video of Virat and Anushka’s meeting with Premanand Maharaj has gone viral on social media, with people across platforms like YouTube and Instagram watching and commenting on their interaction. In the video shared on Instagram, followers can be seen expressing their views, with many urging Virat to reconsider his retirement decision. One user named Sourav commented, “Guruji, please convince him to take back his retirement decision.” Another follower expressed, “What happened to your promise of 10,000 runs, brother?”

While many praised Virat, others turned their attention to Anushka, who appeared deeply emotional during the meeting. Her teary eyes were enough to show the couple’s strong bond with Maharaj Ji.
During their meeting, Premanand Maharaj asked Virat, “Are you happy?” To which Virat smiled and replied, “I am okay.” Maharaj responded, “You should be okay. Remember, wealth and fame are not considered blessings from God. When God blesses, it transforms your inner thinking. The blessings you receive bring you closer to saints, and sometimes, the blessings come in the form of challenges.”
You may recall that on May 12, Virat announced his retirement from Test cricket, leaving millions of his fans heartbroken. Under Kohli’s captaincy, India won 40 out of 68 Test matches, lost 17, and drew 11, showcasing how his leadership set his team apart from past Indian cricket teams.
