A 26-year-old carpenter from Belgaum, but residing at Velsao died, after he was hit by a speeding Kulem-Vasco passenger train at Cansaulim on Wednesday morning.
According to Vasco Police PSI Samarnath Passi, Tasevale Imamshab Bashir was so passionately mingled in music that he did not hear the horn of the train. “Bashir was so much mingled in music that he was least concerned to hear the horn of the train, which cost him his life,” said PSI Passi.
Injured Bashir was rushed to Vasco in the same train and intimated the Railway Police about and incident and asked them to summon the ambulance. On reaching Vasco, Bashir was rushed to GMC Hospital in Bambolim, but he succumbed to injuries.
“Unfortunately, the deceased was newly married and his wife was to deliver their first child,” said police.
Vasco Police registered the case as unnatural death and later over the body to his family members.
