PANJIM: FC Goa announced the launch of their first edition of its new initiative ‘FC Goa Social’ programme to be held from April 18 to Mat 14, at Goa University ground, Taleigao.
The event is designed for kids in the age groups of 6-14 years who are looking for football coaching with a recreational touch to it. The primary purpose is to get the kids active during the summer holidays when they are away from school and engage them in sports activities. The program will be run by FC Goa’s Grassroots coaches and will incorporate multiple elements of the game into the training sessions.
The sessions have been designed by FC Goa Grassroots’ Technical Director, Katz Naidoo and Development Director, Gavin Araujo. Both come with a strong reputation for developing the grassroots program and along with the grassroots coaches are responsible for the success of FC Goa’s U-14 team who were State finalists recently.
The sessions will be conducted thrice a week from 4.30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on alternate days depending on the age groups. Details may be obtained on Email: [email protected]. Registrations close on April 15.
