Sources informed that the accused teacher allegedly used to fling chalks, dusters as well as slap students.
The headmistress on January 13 lodged a complaint against Amit Jagannath Mashelkar for allegedly abusing the minor students after the students and parents complained against the teacher to the school authorities.
Many parents also filed complaints against the accused teacher with the police.
The pernem police later booked the teacher under Sections 323, 504 of the IPC and Section 8 (2) of Goa Children’s Act 2003.
