MARGAO: A delegation of Muslims representing the Jamia Masjid, Margao and Anjuman high school called on South Goa MP Francisco Sardinha and made a request to build a retaining wall around the Pajifond Kabrastan.
An agitated South Goa MP issued strict instruction to process the file on an urgent basis, saying that much time has already been lost by the authorities in implementing the retaining wall project. “I had issued instructions to the authorities to take up work on construction of the retaining wall at the Pajifond kabrastan in February last, but the file has not moved to,” Sardinha said, while issuing strict directions to the PWD officials to take up the work immediately.
In fact, the MP has said he would review the matter after his return to Goa, making it categorically clear that he is willing to spend substantial funds for the project.
