Almost ruling out the possibility of handing over the Louis Berger bribery case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar on Wednesday said that Crime Branch is doing a good job and at the current stage there is no need of giving the case to the Central agency.
Parsekar also said that ‘fear of being involved in the case forced someone to apply for anticipatory bail’. The Chief Minister was responding to queries on the anticipatory bail plea filed by former Congress Chief Minister Digambar Kamat in the case.
