Chapora Fort Restoration to Begin Within a Month of Finance Approval: Minister Subhash Phaldesai

Archaeology and Archives Minister Subhash Phaldesai on Monday assured that the long-awaited restoration of the historic Chapora Fort and the construction of public toilet facilities at the site will commence within a month of receiving approval from the Finance Department.

Speaking in the Assembly, Phaldesai emphasized the government’s commitment to preserving heritage structures and improving tourist infrastructure. “We are ready to begin the work. As soon as the Finance Department clears it, the restoration and toilet facilities at Chapora Fort will be taken up on priority,” he said.
