PANJIM, JUNE 16
The Goa Bench of Bombay High Court will hear the anticipatory bail petitions filed by former tourism minister Mickky Pacheco and his OSD Lyndon Monteiro on Friday morning.
Amit Palekar, legal counsel for Monteiro said that the court will hear both the anticipatory bail petitions at 10.30 am.
Monteiro, had earlier withdrawn his anticipatory bail petition from the court, after prosecution pointed out that the petition filed by his mother does not stand. He has filed a fresh petition now.
Pacheco, whose anticipatory bail plea was rejected by session court Margao, has also moved to High Court for anticipatory bail.
Pacheco in his petition has said that charges against him are politically motivated because he has raised the issue of involvement of senior politician son in drug racket.
Both, Pacheco and Monteiro, who are on run, are wanted by Crime Branch in connection with death of Nadia Torrado.
