Today as the neighboring village of Cuncolim, Ambaulim mourn the demise of their son who lost his life in a tragic accident, the anger by the villager was quite justifiable. It was right for the people for asking suspension of the police for inquiry, involved in the gruesome act. The Cuncolim police shifted the dead body of the teenage boy without conducting panchanama. It is an act of destroying evidence, the villager only demanded the panchanama report copy, the witness who signed the report, the breath analysis report of the truck driver, cause for delay in informing the parents of teenager and so on.
The only answer for all the questions by the police was lathi charge, suppressing the peoples voice asking for justice. Accidents do happen but when the vehicle involved belongs to some politician matter get hushed up.
It is sad and disheartening. In fact a matter of shame when we say we leave in the largest democracy of the world.
